OVERSEAS MS/MPhil LEADING to PhD and PhD SCHOLARSHIPS
The University of Swat with dynamic support of Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Higher Education Department (HED) is pursuing its process of growth both in terms of physical infrastructure and human resource. The university, in order to enhance its human resource, offers overseas MS/ MPhil leading to PhD and PhD scholarships to talented candidates under the project "Establishment of University of Swat-Phase-I".

Pakistani nationals having minimum 16 years of education in the relevant field of study.
Candidate must have a minimum GGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivalent (or 70% marks, where applicable) in a semester system or 1st division (60% marks) in annual system of examination in the last degree.
Candidates must not have less than 50% marks or 2.0 CGPA in the entire academic career.
Maximum age is 35 years and relax able to 40 years only for regular employees of the Public Sector University
DAIs and R&D institutions. The age calculated on the closing date of the application.

Selection Process
Only short listed candidates will be called for the interview.
In case of award of scholarship, the candidate will be paid either salary or stipend.
Candidates will be selected as "Lecturers" through proper procedure under the statutes/rules followed by the University of Swat and their appointment will be actualized upon completion of PhD.
Selected candidates will be required to execute a bond to serve the University of Swat for a period of at least five years after successful completion of PhD studies, and joining the University of Swat.

The University reserves the right to restrict the number of selectees in response to this advertisement based on the availability of funds and the number of slots can be increased or decreased. Preference will be given to University employees.
In service candidates (University / Government departments' employees) must apply through proper channel along with NOC from their employer
Candidates currently enrolled in PhD studies abroad and are not availing any other scholarship are encourage to apply subject to fulfillment of all codal formalities.
Final award of scholarships will be subject to the fulfillment of all codal formalities procedures (rules and regulations) followed by the University of Swat.
Seeking admission and obtaining Visa will be the responsibility of the candidates under the guidance of the University of Swat and subject to the approval of the Competent Authority of University of Swat. As per HEC-FDP guidelines University will prefer admission in lower tuition fee countries such France Germany (Non-English Speaking Countries) and shall rank in top 300 in the world.
Securing admissions in PhD will be the responsibility of the candidate and will have to submit biannual performances report through University concerned.
Candidates will have to submit IELTs/ToFEL/GRE/GAT as per foreign University/Country requirement. Candidates, already availing HEC. University/DAI, Departmental or any other Scholarship's) are not eligible.
Stipend tuition fee will be paid as per PCM provision, terms and conditions mentioned in the award letters, agreement and HEC FDP guidelines.
Candidates having foreign degree shall submit HFC equivalency certificate-
Those who have unconditional offer letter; Admission letter from foreign university will be advantaged. Incomplete applications and those received alter due date will not be considered.
