OPF Scholarships for the Children of Overseas Pakistanis under Overseas Pakistanis Education Fund (OPEF)
OPF has created Overseas Pakistanis Education Fund (OPEF), as a pilot project, to reach and to support education of children of overseas Pakistanis who are studying in educational institutions in the country. This outreach scholarship program is being launched in collaboration with the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) and will benefit children of Overseas Pakistanis studying in public/private educational institutions in the country. Under this initiative, scholarships will be granted, to the children of Overseas Pakistanis studying in the following programs:
a. Intermediate
b. BS/ Master program (16 years of education) including MBBS, BDS, Bachelor of Engineering
c. MS program (18 years of education)
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Minimum 60% marks or a CGPA of 2.5 in his/her last o SSC/HSSC Board examination
o BA/BSc/B.Com/BS/BBA etc. through an HEC recognized university.
Secured admission as regular student in an educational institution affiliated with/recognized by local Boards/Universities/HEC in the same year as of passing the HSSC/SSC or enrolled as a regular student in any of the Public sector Universities of Pakistan during the academic year 2017.
One parent (father or mother) of the applicant must be a registered member of OPF (valid for 3 years after permanent return).
Monthly income of the respective parent should be equal to or less than RS. 100,000/-Not getting any other scholarship during the current academic year. Provincial domicile.
How to Apply
The eligible applicants can download Application Form from OPF and PEEF official websites i.e. opf.orq.pk and peef.org.pk. Hard copies of application form can also be obtained from OPF Head Office, Islamabad and OPF Regional Offices at Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Mirpur (AJK) and Multan.
Submission of Applications
Applications can be submitted to Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) Head Office Lahore, OPF Head Office, Islamabad, OPF Regional Offices in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Mirpur (AJK), and Multan routed through respective educational institutions. Students who have already passed Intermediate, BS, Master/MS are not eligible for scholarship for the same program. For details and further clarification applicants can contact Senior Scholarship Manager PEEF, Lahore and Focal Person (OPEF) Education Division, OPF Head Office Islamabad on Monday to Friday during office hours i.e.08:00 AM to 04:00 PM.
Last Date for Submission of Applications
Applications on prescribed form duly completed shall be accepted upto 30th April, 2018 for further processing. Applications received after the due date shall not be entertained.
