Writing Contest among Young Writers to be arranged by Lahore Literary Festival 2023
As per report of Daily Dawn Pakistan dated 27.01.2023, The Lahore Literary Festival (LLF) has announced its first ever writing contest to encourage students' creative thinking and their interaction with public art.
The LLF has invited young writers to submit their original creative pieces in any language and format limited to a maximum of 1,000 words inspired by the paintings of Ustad Allah Bakhsh (c.1895-1978) at the Alhamra Art Museum.
The writers will have to visit the museum to create a single original work of writing, exploring the resonance of Bakhsh's folklore. The writers between the age of 16 and 25 who are residents of Lahore are eligible to submit their works. The submissions should be original pieces and any borrowed idea should be properly attributed.
The contest carries cash prizes of Rs100,000, Rs50,000 and Rs25,000 for the first, second and third positions, respectively. The panel of judges of the prize includes novelist and translator Musharraf Ali Faroogi and painter Risham Syed.
The deadline for submission is Feb 12.

The writers must submit a copy of their ID along with the submissions.
