Photography Competition "Conserving our beautiful Oman"
Competition includes two main categories:
The first Category: The beautiful Omani nature: highlighting the exquisite aspects of the Omani nature and biodiversity such as; plants, birds, wild animals and rare marine.
The Second Category: Impact of waste on the environment and human highlighting the negative impact of waste on the health and ihe environment, with an attempi to deliver a message of the significance of reducing and reusing waste materials.
Entry Conditions:
1- The competition is open to all residents in Ihe Sultanate (Professionals & matures).
2- The photographs must be new and have not been used in any previous competitions, all photographs need to be recent and taken by the participant personally.
3- Photographs must be taken by a digital camera and processed digitally in color or black and while. Photographs taken by mobile phones will be eliminated.
4- Each participant can submit maximum of four (4) photographs overall specifying the category.
5- A judging panel will sort the photographs and select (he winning entry. The decisions by Ihe judging panel will be tlnal and are not subject for appeal.
6- be'ah will have (he copyright of all participating photographs and the photographer will have the right to retain the intellectual properly.
7- The photographs must be submitted in digital format (300 dpi) saved on a CD by which the height of the photographs should not exceed 2000 pixels and all entries must be submitted along with the participation form lo bean head quarter in Al Azaibah OR .it the Photographic Society main building in Muscat or in its branches in Dhofar and Al Buraimi Governorates by
Sunday, 14th December 2014.
8- Any photographs that olfend ethical, cultural and Islamic values would be immediately eliminated regardless of the technical elements.
The competition prizes in each category are as following:
First prize: OMR 1000.
Second prize: OMR 750.
Third prizc: OMR 500
