Job Announcement for the Post of Assistant (Grade-16) in Punjab Civil Secretariat, Lahore
JOB ANNOUNCEMENT / OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE CAREER IN MOTHER DEPARTMENT OF GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJAB i.e SERVICES & GENERAL ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT (S&GAD), PUNJAB CIVIL SECRETARIAT
Punjab Public Service Commission has advertised 47 posts of Assistant BS-16 in the Services & General Administration Department commonly known as Punjab Civil Secretariat on 11.03.2018 in the Dailies "The Jang" and "The Nation".
The bifurcation of the posts as per laid down quota is as under:-

The prescribed qualification for eligibility against the post of Assistant (BS-16) is Graduation with 2nd Division from a recognized University. The age limit for male is 18 to 25 + 5 years general age relaxation and for female is 18 to 25 + 8 years general age relaxation. The place of posting is Punjab Civil Secretariat, Lahore and all graduates domiciled in Punjab are eligible to apply.
One paper of 100 marks comprising of 100 MCQs shall be conducted by the PPSC which will be of the following fields of study:-
"General Knowledge including Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Everyday Science, Islamic Studies (Ethics for Non Muslim candidates), Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu and Basic Computer Science."
The duration of the test will be 90 minutes.
All interested candidates may apply online on the official website of Punjab Public Service Commission till 27.03.2018 at 12:00 AM.
Before applying online, one must:-
a. Deposit Rs. 600 on the challan form after downloading it from the website of PPSC.
b. Scan his / her photograph not larger than 25kb otherwise it cannot be uploaded on the website.
c. Scan front side of his / her CNIC not larger than 25kb otherwise it cannot be uploaded on the website.
d. Collect all the relevant data on one paper before applying online i.e Name, Date of Birth, Domicile, Degrees, Marks, Grade / Divisions etc.
In service candidates may also apply directly on line at the website but take out the print and submit it to their respective employer for grant of Departmental Permission. Do not wait for last date as the website often get jammed due to heavy traffic of candidates and apply as soon as possible. All applying on line must take the print out of the generated application and remember the application number assigned by the website for future reference.
