BROADENING THE AUTHORSHIP CADRE
The Higher Education Commission has embarked upon a programme on "Textbook & Monograph Writing Scheme" to enhance the competitiveness in research & development and to create a strong team of authors in the country.

Who can write?
The opportunity to write is open for researchers and faculty members from HEC recognized public, private sector universities and R&D organizations across the Country.

Which topics can be covered?
The authors may write in diverse/selected topics following HEC approved curricula in new emerging field such as IT, Robotics, Biotechnology, as well as Basic Sciences, Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Agriculture, Engineering and Health Sciences.

What are the financial incentives?
HEC offers Rs.100,000/- for writing textbook at master and doctorate level while Rs.80,000/- at bachelor level. HEC also offers Rs.80,000/- & Rs.70,000/- for writing monograph at the master and bachelor level respectively. 100 copies of textbook/monograph will also be given to the author as gratis on one time basis.

How to submit the proposals?
The interested authors who meet the eligibility criteria available on the website may submit their proposals (soft & hard copy) along with all required documents on the address given below via surface mail not later than March 31, 2017.
