Job Description

The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational sections: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health, and Non-communicable diseases & mental health.

You will be responsible for:
preparing personnel requisitions and obtaining necessary approvals and following-up with concerned departments
preparing job descriptions for faculty and staff in consultation with Senior Manager, CHS
shortlisting suitable candidates and arranging interviews with concerned faculty and staff
coordinating the General Orientation Programme for new employees
coordinating employee contract extension and conclusions in consultation with Supervisor and providing information to Human Resources
ensuring that probationary period evaluation forms are timely filled and submitted to Human Resources
liaising with Learning and Organizational Development for service agreements
preparing documentation and proposals for career development of faculty and staff
assisting departing faculty and staff in receiving timely clearance and issuance of full and final settlement
coordinating with safety and security department regarding the issuance and extension of temporary ID cards
providing administrative support for all short courses organized by (CEP)
liaising with faculty and other stakeholders regarding CEP for course material and other information.

Requirements:
You should have:
a Masters in Business Administration, preferably with majors in Human Resources from an HEC recognised or reputable foreign university/institution
at least three years of relevant experience, preferably in academic/healthcare sector
good command over written and spoken English and Urdu language
demonstrable professionalism and integrity at workplace
capability to work with multidisciplinary team
flexibility and willingness to work for extended hours/off days
good computer literacy excellent command over Microsoft Excel.
