Minimum Education and Experience:
16 years of equivalent education with 3 years of relevant work experience.
18 years of equivalent education with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Skills:
Working knowledge of HTML, WordPress CMS, and social media.
Excellent computer skills
Basic knowledge of design software.
Working knowledge of SEO tools.
Good English oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team as well as with supervisors.
Time management skills, setting priorities, and meeting project deadlines
Job Purpose/Summary:
The Website & Social Media Officer will be responsible for managing FCCU's digital infrastructure, including websites and social media. He/she will be responsible for assisting in the execution of the digital communications projects undertaken by the Communications Office as well as for content generation and management for digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
Content generation and management for websites and social media, including copy and design.
Ensure scheduling and timely posting of content.
Ensure appropriate use of copy and pictures for content.
Troubleshooting issues on websites.
Design website pages according to creative brief and requirements.
Ensure consistent use of university brand elements in digital media.
Coordinating effectively with academic departments, and administrative offices for ensuring accuracy and timeliness of FCCU's digital presence.
Supporting the monitoring and evaluation of FCCU's digital activity
Search engine optimization.
Generate new ideas for creative and engaging content.
Managing digital databases.
Assisting in marketing research
Responding to online inquiries and complaints on social media
Proofreading and editing content according to FCCU's stylesheet.
Liaising with external partners for special projects and troubleshooting.
Assisting HOD on special projects for the entire life cycle of the project.
