Required Senior IT Business Analyst
Senior IT Business Analyst is responsible for working with the business, understanding their strategies, goals, and processes, and then translating their needs into an IT solution through the elicitation and definition of the functional requirements. This is a position with the FCC ERP Team and emoluments are in keeping with market compensations for the position.
The Senior IT Business Analyst will also support the business by working closely with end users, business units, and other IT resources in all stages of project life cycle, including investigation, ROI/payback analysis, design, testing, and implementations to ensure business requirements are successfully implemented.
This individual should demonstrate the highest levels of customer service, technical knowledge, productivity, and professionalism.
The prime responsibility includes analyzing complex systems development and enhancement projects including rigorous documentation of application and processes. Senior IT Business Analyst must possess understanding of complex business processes and requirements and the development of applications to streamline/automate processes, while working with a significant amount of independent authority and judgment.
Minimum Education and Experience:
16 years equivalent education with 8 years relevant work experience
18 years equivalent education with 6 years relevant work experience
Skills:
Documentation and test case building skills, analysis skills, and facilitation and elicitation skills; must possess good knowledge of business analysis tools and software testing applications.
Knowledge of application development environment and modern web technologies with AGILE model and inheritance of it.
Principles and practices of effective team building, team leadership and conflict resolution.
Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
Initiative, flexibility, and ability to work independently.
Excellent attention to detail.
Advanced principles and practices of project management and workflow/business analysis, system development life cycle, principles, methods, and techniques used in designing, developing, testing and implementing computer hardware and software systems.
Understanding and confidence to use Student Information System, Learning Management System (LMS), ERP/Financial Information System and Digital repository
Responsibilities:
Identifying and addressing technological, operational, and financial risks
Provides training, maintenance, and support for different application including Financial application, Information Systems, Online Repositories, Learning Management system, ERP and others.
Coordinates and conducts user training sessions; develops and updates user documentation, written instructions, training guides, manuals and materials for users and applications support staff; meets with users to provide information regarding system changes and enhancements and to address any questions or issues.
Prepares complex reports, correspondence, and other documents; participates on committees, meetings, and task forces
Recommends the appointment of personnel; provides or coordinates staff training; provides standards and operating guidelines; provides timely input on performance evaluations and disciplinary matters.
Up-to-date expertise in Information Systems, Financial Applications and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices.

Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
Identifying innovative ways to increase customer satisfaction.
Ensure that targets and deadlines are met.
Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary
Communicating ideas and viewpoints to senior management by utilizing formal and informal written communication methods to communicate updates and findings; and facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences
Acting as a liaison between business/operational needs and technology.
Finding technological solutions to business requirements.
Supervising and participating in the improvement of existing solutions and systems
Developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies
Provide project level analysis - producing required project analysis documentation
Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process
Ability to analyze and synthesize business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes
Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
Serve as a liaison between Operations and IT to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement, and implementations
Develop and execute test plans
Support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements
Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate uncertain situations to drive for clarity; work calmly and maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-speed environment
Conduct independent research, analyze, and interpret highly technical documents, draw valid conclusions, develop technological solutions, take appropriate actions and/or make appropriate recommendation related to complex IT problems
