The Head of Admissions is a strong student advocate who will develop, train, and facilitate a high performance team in the Admissions Department. The Head oversees the admissions department including recruitment, admissions, a call center, and international student compliance and provides leadership in developing and accessing innovative recruitment strategies and initiatives designed to attract new market segments and expand the student base. Working with the Recruitment Committee, the Enrollment Management Team, and the Marketing Department, the Head will update, implement and monitor a college-wide Student Recruitment Plan. The Head will develop strong partnerships/alliances with academic divisions, continuing education units, public schools and the college community through timely communication and clearly established goals.

Minimum Education and Experience:
16 years equivalent education with 10 years relevant work experience
18 years equivalent education with 8 years relevant experience
Skills:
Excellent written and spoken communication skills both in English and Urdu
Excellent writing, editing, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Statistical research and its analysis and interpretation
Networking and Influencing Skills
Responsibilities for the University Admissions:
Recruit new students through activities such as high school visits, college fairs, career nights, public outreach events and general information sessions.
Schedule and conduct individual in-person and telephone interviews with prospective students, their parents and/or spouses regarding the initial application.
Evaluate application credentials for admissions decision making.
Advise/counsel continuing students who are considering changing majors; assist qualified students with academic program selection.
Participate in student scheduling sessions and advising/counseling sessions. Participate in establishing enrollment goals for the Office of Admissions & Records and individual academic departments. With academic departments and Chief Marketing and Outreach Officer devise, develop and coordinate general recruitment and program-specific literature for new and continuing students.
Coordinate and conduct campus tours for high schools, community agencies and others as requested.
Establishes admissions operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
Develops admissions financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements.
Promotes the university and attracts new students by maintaining working relationships with other university departments; working closely with the alumni office and the publications department.
Maintains continuing flow of quality applicants and transfers to the university by analyzing trends in enrollment and marketing activities, leading activities to continue programs that are effective; modifying programs; presenting new sales strategies for the universitys recruitment and admission activities.
Responsibilities for the College Admissions:
Plan and execute an admission Campaign to admit students in the college
Establishes clear policies, procedures and protocols for the admissions and transfer cases for the college
Organizing visits to schools to introduce the intermediate program at Forman by having meetings, running sessions and sharing leaflet and brochure
Responsible for gleaning information regarding different academic categories of the intermediate program and getting brochures made
Working closely with the VR of the College and the Coordinator to train the faculty and staff to guide prospect students during the time of the admission
Maintains a record of and updates the policies of Board of Secondary and Intermediate Education
Updates his/her knowledge regarding the policies of equivalence of Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) for O-level students or those who have studied abroad
Develops a brief document or a guide for the prospect students to get the equivalence by IBCC for O-levels or when required
Analyze the advertisement strategies of other colleges and develops effective ones for the College in collaboration with the communications office and the admin of the college.
Researches and maintains a record of the fee structure of other Colleges to recommend a change in the fee structure of the College to the Accounts and the VR of the College
Coordinates with the financial aid department to facilitate the deserving students
Develops handouts in consultation with the concerned offices regarding fee student, financial aid, merit scholarships to facilitate the prospect students regarding the availability and procedures of procuring a service or scholarship
Establish clear policies and procedures to disseminate merit scholarships fairly
Works closely with the VR and Coordinator of the College to decide the merit, and the target of any given year
Devises a clear cut plan to distribute students evenly in all categories and sections
Develops a plan to admit students on sports basis or extra-curricular activities. This would be done in consultation with the concerned offices and procedures would be clearly delineated.
Analyze critically the admission campaign, literature, quality and quality of the students admitted to fortify the process for next year and prepares a comprehensive report for each year.
