Required Assistant Manager - Software Engineering
The Assistant Manager-Software Engineering will solve complex problems and identify the occurrence of bugs, review related information to develop solutions and evaluate the prevention of bugs into defects. This is a position with the FCC ERP Team and emoluments are in keeping with market compensations for the position.
The role will be responsible to provide timely software application-related support to all the concerned units. This position will also assist in carrying the IT operations and facilitate in different technology related projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Supporting, troubleshooting, and facilitate enhancing the existing and new solutions
Data migration and data loads, often from internal sources, assist the application team in updating new releases on servers
Work on Microsoft and Linux Servers.
Assist application team with software, customizations, and configuration requirements.
Regular application database back-up & archiving, update SQL patches.
Responsible for development of reporting using BI tools
Database tunning, repair and updates and to ensure data integrity and reliability
Provide input, as needed, to the development of business cases and related documentation
Assist the application team with application-level SQL query design to ensure efficient performance within the SQL database and optimum query writing in report builders.
Assist in managing the on-site backup and recovery process.
Assist in performing any required database upgrades and migration.
Assist team with installation of third-party server applications as needed.
Installations of client application on campus for the department users.
To interact with users to identify software/application related needs and provide appropriate software/hardware support applicable to those needs.
Create documentation for the software project management, elicit requirements clearly for departments, functional requirements, constraint and exception writing, create (Low level) use cases, process flows, collaboration diagrams, DFD's and test sheets to facilitate the supervisor for analysis and implementation.
Data Migrations
Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams
Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

MariaDB, Oracle; SQL Server/ MySQL, PostgreSQL
Linux Server, Windows Server, NET platforms
BI reporting tools and writing SQL queries
Knowledge of application development environment and modern web technologies with
AGILE model and inheritance of it.
PHP, .NET, MVC architect
Excellent Communication Skills

Minimum Education and Experience:
16 years equivalent education with 4 years relevant work experience
18 years equivalent education with 2 years relevant experience
