Job Description

The Childrens Hospital Service Line is committed to providing state-of-the-art clinical services to children. It imparts high quality undergraduate and postgraduate training as well. It consists of a group of dedicated full-time and part-time faculty members. Besides the outpatient clinics, the inpatient set-up consists of a paediatric ward with two units comprising of paediatric neurology, a neonatal unit with facility of admitting neonates along with ventilator support at a time, a dedicated paediatric ICU and post cardiac ICU and round the clock critical care looked after by fully trained paediatric medical and nursing staff.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
hande patients with speech and language dysfunction, and behavior problems / challenges in performing activities of daily living (ADL) / sensory difficulties
assess the patients, develop and deliver the individual occupational therapy treatment programme to improve patients perceptual cognitive skills, psychosocial activities and activities of daily living
formulate treatment / exercise plan for patients enabling them to achieve treatment goals
evaluate and formulate treatment plans and monitor patient recovery through therapy provided
consult and collaborate with consultants and other medical professionals in providing high quality treatment plans to educate patients and their families about treatment interventions and home exercises
maintain and update patients records and documentation, and raise wider parental, teachers and health care staff awareness of childrens issues based on services guidelines.

Requirements:
You should have:
a Masters degree in Speech Therapy / Speech Audiology and Pathology, Occupational Therapy or any other relevant discipline
at least two years of relevant experience, preferably having one year of traineeship completed in a reputable organization
excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication and patient report writing skills
ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
resilience and ability to cope with work pressure
ability to effectively work in teams as well as independently
willingness to work on extended hours on need-basis.
