Job Description
The Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Project Manager (Health Data Science Project), Department of Medicine.
Responsibilities:
The position entails overall coordination of the Research Project. This involves managing daily operations as needed to include, but not limited to project and task management, as well as working directly with internal and external stakeholders across the public health and data science arena.
Specifically, you will be responsible to:
implementation and supervision of research projects; assist supervisor in the development of research instruments for the projects according to their objectives
develops and tracks project milestones, deliverables, risks, action items and decisions, using appropriate tools
developing SOPs for project and administrative processes and procedures to facilitate standardized practices, hiring and training of resources as per project requirements
evaluating the performance of the team and giving feedback, conducting internal audits, ensuring quality and reporting to the Principal investigators with recommendations
collaborate with data scientists, clinical leads, researchers and technical teams to ensure smooth running of projects activities within the settings
managing the existing grants and strategically planning resources to ensure smooth running of research grants and contracts as well as managing the administrative aspect of various grants
any other task assigned by the principal investigator.
Requirements:
Degree in management/ MBBS/ Masters in Epidemiology and Biostatics/Masters in Sociology with relevant project management experience
5 to 7 years of relevant experience with a health care organization, additional experience in healthcare analytics would be an added advantage
familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative research methods
familiarity with healthcare data analytics, and skills data collection, analysis and interpretation is essential
proficiency in computer applications, especially REDCap, MS Office, SPSS
excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanour are a must
capacity to conduct qualitative exploratory research
ability to work with minimal supervision and to resolve issues independently.

ability to communicate clearly and efficiently.
