The Centre of Excellence in Women and Child Health aims to support the introduction, scale-up and further piloting of high quality and high impact interventions to improve Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (MNCAH) in Pakistan by harnessing the potential of both public and private sectors, coupled with introduction of women and girls empowerment intervention.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include to:
develop cutting edge Android applications for various public health research projects
work in collaboration with other team members to meet project deadlines
create new features as required by various projects and improve the user experience
ensure that the development adheres to project requirements and specifications
work closely with quality assurance team to ensure that the codes are clean and bug-free
solve technical problems in existing and new applications.
Requirements:
You should have:
a Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or Computer Engineering, preferably with some additional relevant professional certifications in Android development
at least three years experience in software development, preferably with at least 2 years experience in developing Android applications either independently or in teams
excellent working knowledge of objective-oriented programming and SQL
thorough understanding of Java / Android SDK design patterns and API design
adequate experience with Android Studio, SQL and RDBMS
possess understanding of SQL
knowledge of RESTful and JSON web services will be added advantage
candidates with good working knowledge of the technologies like HTML5, CSS3 or JavaScript will be preferred
excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication and organizational skills
ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently
capability of meeting strict deadlines and working under-pressure.
