The Anaesthesiology, Operating Rooms (OR) and CSSD (Central Sterile Supply Department) Service Line at the Aga Khan University Hospital provides perioperative care and other operating room facilities for all surgical procedures, intensive care to critically ill surgical patients in the surgical intensive care unit, as well as acute and chronic pain management services. Our service line has a mix of anesthesiologists, qualified nurses and highly trained surgical and anesthesia technicians. We are committed to delivering compassionate, ethical, accessible and high-quality care to all patients requiring surgery, anesthesia, intensive care and pain services.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Service Line Chief, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
lead the team in formulation, implementation and evaluation of annual goals and objectives in accordance with Hospital, Service Line, and Departmental strategic objectives;
ensure that the assigned unit meets regulatory and accreditation requirements;
ensure timely credentialed of staff as per the institutional policies;
ensure oversight of appropriate staffing needs for Service Line;
continuously initiate innovative and evidence-based strategies to improve quality of patient care and services;
responsible for the recruitment, selection, orientation and on- going training of the nursing and technician teams;
ensure that staff acquire and maintain the relevant skills, knowledge and competencies appropriate for their respective units
undertake performance reviews of staff and develop action plans to ensure individual staff growth;
design proactive and innovative ways to enhance customer satisfaction;
monitor staff and client satisfaction with services in assigned unit and take appropriate action to close gaps.
provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and sharing of knowledge with the team.
Requirements:
You should have:
a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, preferably Masters in Nursing / Health Administration/ Hospital Administration from an accredited university with valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council;
more than 7 years of relevant nursing administrative experience;
ability to demonstrate clinical competency in specialty;
sound knowledge and application of patient care/patient safety standards;
knowledge and experience of resource management;
ability to work in teams with others to produce innovative solutions;
positive attitude, good communication skills and ready to accept.
