The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is the academic department of the University to support wide range in-patient and outpatient women healthcare care services pertinent to general obstetrics and gynaecology, lactation consultancy, and parenting education. In addition to the core services, department also caters to wide range of specialised services such as Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynaecologic Oncology, Urogynaecology and Pediatrics & Adolescent Gynaecology. The department also offers formal post graduate training programs of residency and fellowship in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, Urogynaecology and Gynaecologic Oncology.
Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Responsibilities:
You will play a lead role in patient care and scholarly activities in the department. This includes but not limited to:
active participation in teaching and other educational activities at undergraduate and postgraduate level
practice evidence based patient care related to specified specialty
initiate and conduct independent research to contribute knowledge development and advancement in the field of women health
collaborate with faculty members from within and outside the department to scale up scholarly programs.
Requirements:
a minimum of of an MBBS degree with FCPS, MRCOG, American Board or equivalent in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
at least two years working experience as a Senior Instructor or equivalent in a reputable institution
at least 2 or more papers in peer reviewed journals as major contributors (i.e. first or second author).
