District Industrial Home, also known as Sanatzar, is a training cum production center for women under supervision of Social Welfare and Bait ul Maal Department, Government of the Punjab, Pakistan. It aims to provide an opportunity for the socio-economic uplift of women in each district of Punjab. The institutes impart employable skills like Costume Fabrication, Knitting, Fine arts, Art and Crafts, Computer, Cooking, Beauty Parlor, Fashion Designing, Spoken English, Physical Education, Driving, Embroidery and many others. So the females in their spare time can get training in various crafts and other short courses to enable themself to contribute in the income of their families.
Qasar-e-Behbood is providing variety of training facilities, vocational training including new marketable skills, day care services for children, nursery classes, sports and recreational facilities. It is working on self help basis.
Females from all stratums are eligible to get training as well as establish a center and take work orders. There is no limit of age and qualification. Only computer training requires relevant qualification. The female applicants can get admission on prescribed form along with relevant documents like CNIC, photograph etc.
